Lawland Long, Executive Director
A native of the Bay Area, Lawland Long has a diverse and extensive nonprofit background, with a broad range of operational experience, including managing multi-site organizations serving a wide variety of communities. Long previously served as the Executive Director of the Chinatown Community Children’s Center. His educational background includes several fellowships as well as graduate degrees from Boston College and Harvard University.






Eddie Castillo , Director of Finance
Eddie Castillo has more than four decades of experience in accounting management for non-profit agencies. He served as the accountant/finance manager for Whitney Young Child Development Center for 16 years, and has worked as a consultant and manager for dozens of non-profit agencies in San Francisco, including Arriba Juntos, American Lung Association of San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, and the Private Industry Council. A licensed CPA, Eddie received his BS degree in accounting and auditing from Far Eastern University in Manila.





Seiko Velder, Director Childcare: Infants & Toddlers
Seiko has 15 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. She gained hands-on teaching experience as an Early Childhood Educator and has progressed to providing management for several ECE agencies. She earned her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Colorado Denver. She brings a wealth of ECE experience and knowledge to our childcare program.




Kim Wong, Director Childcare: Preschool & After School
Kim Wong has over twenty years of experience as a teacher and administrator in organizations serving both preschool and school aged populations. Kim has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education, a Child Development Program Director’s Permit and a J.D. Degree.







Susan Murphy, Director Jobs Program
Susan has been a community activist (Bayview/Hunters Point) for over 25 years and has been teaching Job Training and Job Readiness skill in San Francisco for over 10 years.  Susan has worked extensively with the Visitacion Valley community, including residents of Britton Courts, Heritage Homes, and Sunnydale for over 3 years.
