 Our 6th Annual Fall Luncheon proved a great success! On Friday, October 17 at the 1 Fort Mason Officers Club, we honored former San Francisco 49er Harris Barton and FCS board member Dawn Dobras for their efforts on behalf of San Francisco’s children and families.
With the San Francisco bay sparkling in the background, agency supporters and staff shared a wonderful lunch served by Michele Catering. Meanwhile, we’d like to thank Luncheon Committee members Matt Dedrick, Dawn Dobras, Julie Flynn, Patricia Hickey and Ann Simon and the rest of the FCS board of directors for ensuring a successful event. Harris Barton, a veteran of 12 NFL seasons, helped the San Francisco 49ers win Super Bowls in 1989, 1990 and 1995. In 1999, he co-founded Champion Ventures with former 49er teammate Ronnie Lott. The firm, now called HRJ Capital, is an established Silicon Valley investment group, holding more than $2.4 billion in assets. He is active in many philanthropic endeavors and started his own charitable organization, Champion Charities, in partnership with Ronnie. He lives with his wife and four children in the Bay Area.
Dawn Dobras served on the FCS Board of Directors for 6 years, serving as Vice President, Secretary, Chair of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Development Committee. Dawn works for Advent International Private Equity and was previously COO of Mommy Track’d. She supports numerous non-profits including the Stocker Foundation, 826 Valencia, Mill Valley Public Schools and GirlVentures. She lives in Mill Valley with her husband Eric, eight-year-old Jacob, seven-year-old Ethan, 3-year-old Macabee, and overfed and sweet dog, Lola.
