Contact Family  Emergency Shelter

If you and your family doesn’t a place to stay for the night, don’t hesitate to call The Hamilton Family Emergency Center at 415-292-5228. They open at 11 AM sharp. It would be best to contact them as early as possible so they can reserve a slot for you.

Alternative Shelters if First Option is Fully Occupied

Providence Family Shelters – They accomodate families everyday in first come first serve basis. You don’t have to get a referral to be assisted. Just go to this location to reserve a slot on a nightly basis.

First Friendship Family Shelter – They accomodate families starting 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM. They are your second option in case The Hamilton Family Emergency Center is fully occupied.

Other Services:

Family Shelter Waiting List System provides central communication system to assist families with food, shelter, and parenting workshops. Simply call 1-855-234-COMP (2667) to find out what options they might be able to give you.

Criteria for Eligibility:

  • There should be an adult or more to take care of their children (underage).
  • Women who are bearing a child are welcome specially in their third trimester up to the fifth month of pregnancy.
  • There should be no reported domestic violence in the last 30 days.
  • Should have no threatening life endangerment that might harm other families and staff.
