After escaping the horrors of the Sudan civil war, Crittenton Jobs graduate Richard Bakheit vowed he would never forget the family members he left behind or the suffering people of Sudan. Somehow, he promised himself, he would find a way to help. Just a few years later, the quietly determined young man is keeping that promise.

ounded in 1889, Florence Crittenton Services is one of San Francisco's original non-profit organizations. Throughout our long-standing history, we have responded to the changing needs of our community, providing comprehensive services that help families rise from surviving to thriving.

Our Programs
Crittenton Childcare Crittenton Childcare has provided licensed, subsidized child care for more than 25 years.

Crittenton Jobs Crittenton Jobs is a vocational training & placement program that provides participants with the skills needed to acquire and retain employment, and to flourish in any work environment.
Crittenton Teens serves San Francisco's most at-risk teen-agers, providing them direction and resources needed to overcome daily obstacles and to lay the groundwork for future achievement. Crittenton Teens
Crittenton Dads Crittenton Dads reaches out to low-income, custodial and non-custodial fathers of all ethnicities, helping them appreciate the vital roles they play in the emotional and financial lives of their children.
Crittenton Mentors provides support, training and networking opportunities for other agencies in San Francisco in collaboration with the Citywide Asian Provider Network, the Hispanic Childcare Network, and the African American Provider Network. Crittenton Mentors
